What is MTMR?

MTMR (More Than My Resume) is a platform where developers showcase side projects and build a community-verified track record of their skills. This policy explains what data we collect when you use MTMR, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect

When you sign in with GitHub, we receive:

  • Your GitHub username and display name
  • Your GitHub profile avatar
  • Your public email address (if set on GitHub)

When you use the platform, we store:

  • Projects you submit, including descriptions, links, tags, and screenshots
  • Votes you cast on projects
  • Comments you post
  • Profile information you optionally add (bio, LinkedIn URL, website, resume link)
  • Page view counts (anonymised — we count views, not viewers)

How we use your data

  • To display your profile, projects, and contributions on the platform
  • To associate your votes and comments with your account
  • To calculate your reputation score
  • To send transactional emails if you opt in to notifications (not yet implemented)

We will never sell your data to third parties. We do not currently run advertising — if that changes, we will update this policy and notify users in advance. We do not share your data with third parties except as described below.

Third-party services

  • Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your data is stored on Supabase-managed infrastructure. See supabase.com/privacy.
  • Vercel — our hosting provider. Requests pass through Vercel's infrastructure. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
  • GitHub OAuth — used for sign-in only. We do not access your repositories or any data beyond your public profile.

Cookies and storage

We use a session cookie set by Supabase to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

Your rights

You can edit or delete individual projects and comments at any time from within the platform. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email us at privacy@mtmr.io and we will process it within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with an updated date.
